It's absolutely pathetic from Reliance. Even after paying 999 for premium plan, you ar not getting ad free originals.
I buy subscription from every platform but won't be buying jio cinema premium
Because of ads many people will not buy subscriptions and all those money on Hollywood originals are wasted

You go to a theatre pay close to ₹300 for a movie where you get ads. Here you get to watch thousands of hours content for ₹999. Yet, you complain about ads. I agree HBO content for ₹999 is too much as most are not new content on streaming platforms. You got same on other platforms. But here you are getting best of Viacom, HBO, Paramount+, Hayu, Sports etc. Why you gotta complain so much? I hope Jio introduces some ₹5000 plan to cater to ad-free audience. Let's see how many are actually willing to pay a premium for pure ad-free content.

I don't think any ad-free plan is on cards. It is very hard to make money off just subscription. It's very expensive to acquire content.

If Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime can make a profit by giving pure ad-free 4K content at 1499 for a year why can't Jio manage the same? Why would they need to price the plan at 5000 to make it ad-free like you suggested?
