If Disney+ Hotstar and Amazon Prime can make a profit by giving pure ad-free 4K content at 1499 for a year why can't Jio manage the same? Why would they need to price the plan at 5000 to make it ad-free like you suggested?
Amazon earns from other means like shopping. Look at the content Hotstar is offering now for ₹1499. Non sports fans won't be willing to pay ₹499 for same.

Because Jio bought the entire HBO library for a whopping amount which will give them a loss for sure

If they need atleast makeup some of it they need to show ads and to be adfree they have to recover the admoney for a user from subscriber which will come to approx 3k I think

First of all, Disney+ Hotstar never made profit. Amazon doesn't disclose the financials of Prime Video separately.

And so far only Netflix made profit in the global streaming business while HBO Max is profitable in US alone but that is because of their long-standing cable business and subscribers that came attached with it.

Premium users will neither pay 3k for ad-free content nor will watch with ads for 999. They will have to come up with a premium ad-free plan with 4 screens and 4K content for 1499 to be able to appeal to the premium users. There is plenty of good English content available on other OTTs and the subscriber has to decide which ones are worth their money, so pricing will be key if Jio wants to make it's place in the premium streaming segment.

I cancelled my standalone Disney+ Hotstar subscription as well. I'll access it through the Tata Play Binge Mega pack when it comes up for renewal. I feel it's better to go for an OTT bundle in today's market condition rather than paying for each one individually.

Netflix Std plan is 6k and Premium is 7.75k p.a right and people are paying that so why wont they pay 3k to Jio?

These big subscriptions will slowly disappear from bundles. Only small ones will remain.

No one pays for Netflix as a single user. Over 90% of paid Netflix subscriptions in India are shared between 2 to 10 people depending on the denomination of the plan and number of screens included. I personally share the 4 screen plan with 3 of my cousins who share the cost which brings the price to 1950 per head for the entire year. And apart from us 4, we have our family members who share our individual profiles and they are not even factored in to the calculation.
If Netflix had priced the plan according to Indian paying standards then the same users would have bought the subscription at that price and had their individual accounts.
So one way or another the subscriber is going to find a way to stream the content in their budget and paying capacity.

With over 50 OTTs in the market, all having their own subscription cost, an average user will only selectively subscribe to a handful of platforms at a time if the cost is not subsidised in a bundle. It's similar to DTH with a la carte channels and channel bundles. If the bundling ends the viewership of individual channels takes a hit. Because the subscribers pocket size and spending capacity is going to remain the same.
