Yes IPL is pixelated because they are just streaming at 2.6 Mbps bitrate in 1080p with 24 fps, I watch IPL on my 43 inch TV rather than 55 inch TV because on 55 inch it feels like a 480p video stream, not sure what will happen on 65 inches and above

Indian people who watches youtube on 240p gets old 60s, 70s music remastered in 4K. But yet Disney biggest entertainment company in the world makes us watch songs like A Year Without Rain in 480p. What a shame!

I think Freemium is the way forward for OTT companies. Just like disney+hotstar, zee provide access to many movies for free and ads r played during the content to earn revenue same way Amazon Prime , Netflix, Voot might soon follow suit. MX Player infact provides all content free and ads help earn revenue while premium plan gives same content with Ad Free option.
