I surrendered my BSNL Broadband connection in May, clearing all bills (Approx 2 months ago). Today while checking my BSNL selfcare account, I found that I have an outstanding amount of Rs. -1175, means BSNL have to refund me 1175. I believe this is the caution money (500 for connection & 675 for one month's plan). Can anyone please help me, how can I get that?

Same issue here. I have no idea what to do next to stop the billing with 0 amount.

I have also surrendered the telephone and broadband device too. But not yet received the refund deposit amount via cheque.

Many a times, that -ve shown is due to some glitch in their system. Even I was shown outstanding in -ve, but there was nothing due for me. In most places they don't take security deposit, so no question of returning. So, most probably BSNL has nothing due, just a glitch in their system which is showing -ve outstanding.

The local exchange SDO told me i will get my security deposit amount by cheque which i deposited 10-12 years ago to BSNL while taking the connection.

There is Re.0 bill getting billed every month now. So does that mean it is not fully disconnected!

Bsnl employees doing trick here. They never show disconnected details to higher authority.because many connections closed means they have to give reason to higher authorities. They keep thier account as hold.Thats why many dont get refund in short time.

4 years passed, am waiting for my refund. Everytime they give fake promises or give excuses of non availability of funds

^^^^ I was using MTNL. After disconnecting, I received the cheque after some time

every BSNL customer Should Forget about Refund.

see my father Ex BSNL employee, But he did not received his broadband Security Deposit Yet..almost 1500/- (Incl. Modem security deposit as My modem was on Rent, Incl. one month security charge)...I took BSNL broadband on 2010 and surrendered on 2015.

Glad that I didn't have this type of experience with BSNL. They refunded my deposit within a month after surrendering the connection. They sent a cheque to my address.
