State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has rationalized/standardized daily data limit under GSM prepaid mobile services. The rationalization/standardization is effective 1st November 2022.
As part of the rationalization/standardization, the reduced speed of 40 kbps will be kept uniformly with all the daily data vouchers, including STVs, PVs, and combo vouchers. It will be stated as ‘unlimited data with speed reduced to 40 kbps after daily data limit’.
The rationalization/standardization will apply to all prepaid vouchers (STVs/PVs/combo vouchers) having daily free data freebies. It will apply to both existing and new customers. BSNL’s prepaid plan currently offers up to 80 kbps data speed beyond unlimited data.
In other news, BSNL Maharashtra has achieved the landmark of 2 lakh+ fiber broadband (FTTH) subscribers.
