State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has emerged at the bottom in voice quality comparison across telecom service providers as per crowdsourced data collected by TRAI’s MyCall app.
TRAI’s MyCall app recorded over 13000 customer feedbacks with 3,626 or 29.7% from Reliance Jio customers, 3,391 or 27.7% from Idea customers, 2,903 or 23.8% from Bharti Airtel customers, 1,772 or 14.5% from Vodafone, and 528 or 4.3% from BSNL.
10,267 or 84.02% customers rated the call quality experience as satisfactory, 726 or 5.94% customers rated the call quality experience as call dropped, and 1,227 or 10.04% customers rated the call quality experience as poor voice quality.
The indoor call quality rating was rated at 4.2 out of 5, outdoor call quality rating at 4.1 out of 5, and traveling call quality was rated at 4.4 out of 5. Idea scored a 4.8 out of 5 voice quality rating, Vodafone scored a 4.2 out of 5 voice quality rating, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio scored a 3.9 out of 5 voice quality rating, while BSNL was at the end of the pecking order with 3.8 out of 5 voice quality rating.
