Vodafone Idea‘s recently launched cellular service for Apple Watch users launched earlier this month has gone live in Punjab expanding the availability of the service. Vodafone Idea had earlier stated that it would be expanded to other circles in coming weeks.

The service which was launched on 12 June was initially just restricted to Mumbai, Delhi, and Gujarat. Vodafone’s dedicated microsite for Apple Watch Cellular service now states that the service is live in Punjab as well. The eligibility criteria on Vodafone website reads, “Vodafone postpaid customer from Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat and Punjab.

The service allows Vodafone customers to share their Vodafone Postpaid plan with an eligible Apple Watch (GPS+Cellular) which means that you can use your Apple watch to make and receive calls and use data on the Vodafone network.

The Apple Watch feature comes free with any Vodafone RED postpaid plan. Vodafone customers need to have Apple Watch Series 3 or later (GPS+Cellular) and iPhone 6s or later model. To check eligibility, Vodafone customers can SMS ‘CHKESIM’ to 199.
