Vodafone Idea has joined the ranks of Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel following their lead and introducing its very own Rs 251 Work From Home Pack. The data pack went live earlier today with a standalone validity of 28 days similar unlike Bharti Airtel’s Rs 251 Data Pack which offers validity coterminous with that of the existing base plan.

Vodafone Idea launches Rs 251 Work From Home Pack with standalone validity of 28 Days

The break came courtesy of our community forum member Nielkumar who spotted the plan on the MyVodafone App. The plan is currently only live in Gujarat, Bihar, Chennai, Haryana, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, UP East, and Kerala when the story was being filed. The plan is also live on Idea Cellular network for its customers residing in the above circles.

Vodafone Idea’s Rs 251 Data Pack offers 50 GB of high speed data with a service validity of 28 days. Vodafone Idea has followed Jio’s footsteps to offer the data pack with a standalone validity whereas Bharti Airtel currently doesn’t offer standalone validity on its Rs 251 Data Pack.

The listings as of now however have certain differences. The Kerala circle listing has declared the plan as a Work From Home pack with a limited period offer tag on it whereas other circle listings don’t reflect the same. It is also offering Vodafone Play subscription to access movies. That said, the listings seem to be currently under maintenance. The Work From Home pack is likely to be extended on a pan India basis in the coming days.

Vodafone Idea is however providing only 28 days validity whereas Reliance Jio is offering 30 days validity. It remains to be seen as to whether Vodafone Idea will follow suit and introduce a 2GB per day annual pack similar to Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel or not. Vodafone’s Idea marketing team seems to have snoozed off with it following Jio and Airtel’s lead at a tortoise speed.
