Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has launched the Vivo Y78t smartphone in China. The phone features a 6.64-inch full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, a 6000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The phone runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with OriginOS 3 customization on top.

The Vivo Y78t features a 6.64-inch full-HD+ (2388 × 1080 pixels) IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 96 percent NTSC color gamut, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 (4nm) Mobile Platform chipset paired with Adreno 710 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage.
The Vivo Y78t sports a dual rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. The phone packs a non-removable 6000mAh battery that supports 44W fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, magnetometer, ambient light, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 164.63mm × 75.80mm × 9.10mm and weighs 199.6 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Vivo Y78t is priced at CNY 1199 (around Rs. 13,600) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model costs CNY 1299 (around Rs. 14,700). There’s also a top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that costs CNY 1499 (around Rs. 17,000). The phone comes in Moon Shadow Black, Snow White, and Mountain Green color options and is currently available to purchase in China.
