Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched two prepaid plans bundled with Hospicare Insurance benefits. The insurance is powered by Aditya Birla Health Insurance. Vi customers can recharge their number with the prepaid plans and get assured amount for each day of hospitalisation. Vi claims that with a simple recharge one can get Rs 30,000 worth of health insurance cover without any documentation or paper work.
Vi’s Rs 51 SMS pack offers 500 SMS, Rs 1000 per day insurance benefit and 28 days validity. Vi customers can get Rs 2000 per day payout for ICU hospitalisation. The claims can be for maximum 10 days at a time and 30 days in a year with accident claims starting from Day 1. The pack can be subscribed as an add-on pack with any existing pack.
Vi’s Rs 301 Combo pack offers truly unlimited calling, 1.5 GB high speed data per day, Rs 1000 per day insurance benefit and 28 days validity. The claims similar to the Rs 51 SMS pack can be for maximum 10 days at a time and 30 days in a year with accident claims starting from Day 1.
The insurance is for those between 18-55 years of age and in sound health without hazardous occupation. In order to get the Hospicare Insurance, one needs to recharge with valid packs post which policy will be created and details sent to Aditya Birla Health Insurance. The insurance policy benefits remains active till your Vi Hospicare pack is valid.
