Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite with S-pen support, 7040 mAh battery launched in India

South Korean tech giant, Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab S6 Lite in India on Monday. Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is a toned-down version of the Galaxy Tab S6, which was launched in October last year. The device comes with S-pen support, and AKG tuned Dolby Atmos speakers.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite specification

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features with a 10.4-inch Full-HD+ WUXGA (1,200 x 2,000 pixels) TFT display with a 5:3 aspect-ratio. Under the hood, it has an octa-core Exynos 9611 (10nm) chipset, paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The device runs Android 10 out of the box with Samsung’s OneUI 2.0 customization on top.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite features a single rear camera of 8 MP that supports auto-focus, HDR, and panorama. For taking selfies, it has a 5 MP front-facing camera. Both front and rear camera support Full-HD recording at 30 fps. The device comes with a non-removable 7040 mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging technology. Samsung claims that it can provide up to 13 hours of video playback.

Connectivity options included are dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE (only in LTE variant), GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port. Sensors included are proximity, gyroscope, ANT+, accelerometer. The tablet measures 244.5mm x 154.3mm x 7.0mm and weighs 467 gram.

Pricing and availability

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is available in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration and is priced at Rs. 31,999 for the LTE variant, while the Wi-Fi only variant is priced at Rs. 27,999. The tablet is available in Oxford Gray, Angora Blue, and Chiffon Pink color options.

Customers can pre-order the device till June 16 on Samsung.com, online portals, and select retail stores in India. Customers pre-ordering the device can avail Galaxy Buds+ (worth Rs. 11,900) at Rs. 2,999 only or Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Book Cover (worth Rs. 4,999) at Rs. 2,500 only.

Galaxy Tab S6 Lite will go on sale across retail stores, Samsung Opera House, Samsung India e-store, and leading online e-commerce portals in India starting June 17. However, the Wi-Fi only variant will be available to purchase only through Samsung.com and Amazon.in.
