Samsung Galaxy A05s with 6.7-inch display, Snapdragon 680 SoC, 5000mAh battery launched in India

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A05s smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display, Snapdragon 680 SoC, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging support, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The phone runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with One UI Core 5.1 customization on top. The company promises to deliver two generations of OS upgrades and four years of security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy A05s features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU, 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM (up to 12GB with RAM Plus), and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Galaxy A05s sports a triple rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. The phone is equipped with a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 168.0mm x 77.8mm x 8.8mm and weighs 194 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy A05s is priced at Rs. 14,999 for the sole 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone comes in Black, Light Green, and Light Violet color options and is available to purchase via the Samsung website and retail stores in India.
