Samsung Galaxy A05 with 6.7-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G85 SoC launched in India

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A05 smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.7-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, a 5000mAh battery, and a 50-megapixel primary sensor. The phone runs on the Android 13 operating system out of the box with One UI 5.1 customization on top.

Samsung Galaxy A05 specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A05 features a 6.7-inch HD+ (1,600 x 720 pixels) PLS LCD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) chipset paired with Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Samsung Galaxy A05 sports a dual rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture lens. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 25W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light. Lastly, the phone measures 168.8mm x 78.2mm x 8.8mm and weighs 195 grams.

The Samsung Galaxy A05 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 12,499. The phone comes in Black, Light Green, and Silver color options and is available to purchase via Samsung e-store, Samsung retail stores, and other e-commerce websites in India.
