Redmi set to launch true wireless earbuds on May 26

Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, is set to launch true wireless earbuds in India. Redmi will be hosting an online launch event on May 26 at noon. The company will be streaming the live event on its website. Reportedly, Redmi is launching Redmi AirDots S wireless earbuds along with some other products. The Redmi AirDots S was recently launched in China.

Redmi has been teasing the new product on its Twitter handle with the hashtag NoStringsAttrached. Redmi has also created an event page with a countdown timer to May 26 on the top-left of the page. The page also states that the wireless earbuds will have long battery life, sweat-proof design, low latency for a better gaming experience, and voice control support.

The Redmi AirDots S was launched in China in April 2020, for CNY 100, which is around Rs 1100. The earbuds have a 7.2mm dynamic driver unit and use Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. The earbuds are also rated IPX4 water-resistant. It comes with a 40 mAh battery on the headset that offers 4 hours of playback on a single charge. The charging case has a 300 mAh battery that offers up to 12 hours of backup.
