Redmi on Wednesday launched its first-ever gaming router, the Redmi AX5400 in its home market of China. The product was unveiled along with the Redmi K50G smartphone which it’s the company’s latest flashing handset for gamers.
Specifications
The Redmi AX5400 is designed specifically to cater to gamers. It features a flagship-level 2.5G Ethernet port and has four LAN ports. It supports Wi-Fi 6 and can also double up as a hybrid mesh network that is compatible with all Xiaomi Wi-Fi 6-enabled routers.
This router has RGB lighting with 16 million colours and it can automatically detect gaming to reduce latency by 20 per cent on compatible Xiaomi and Redmi smartphones. Users will get wireless internet speeds as high as 5,400mbps and it has WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, WPA3-SAE encryption.
It is powered by a dual-core 1.0GHz Qualcomm chipset along with a 1.0GHz NPU and there is 512MB of internal storage. Furthermore, it is equipped with six independent high-performance front-end modules (FEMs) that work as signal amplifiers.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi AX5400 comes with a price tag of CNY 599 (about Rs. 7,100) and will be available to purchase in China starting from February 18 2022 through Xiaomi’s official retailers. It will be in a single black colour option. As a launch offer, the company will initially sell it at a discounted price of CNY 549 (about Rs. 6,500).
