Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro price starts at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 28,700) and CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 35,900), respectively, while the Redmi K40S price starts at CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 21,500).

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi K50, Redmi K50 Pro, and Redmi K40S smartphones at an online event in China on March 17, 2022. The phones run Android 12 OS out of the box with MIUI 13 customization on top. Redmi K50 series features a 6.67-inch 2K OLED display, octa-core MediaTek Dimensity SoCs, liquid cooling technology, and triple rear cameras. In contrast, the Redmi K40S features a 6.67-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset, and packs a 4500 mAh battery. Alongside, the company has also launched the RedmiBook Pro 15 laptop.

Redmi K50 specifications

Redmi K50 features a 6.67-inch 2K (1440 x 3200 pixels) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 480Hz touch sampling rate, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ support, and up to 1200 nits peak brightness. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 (5 nm) chipset paired with Mali-G610 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Redmi K50 sports a triple rear camera setup of a 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 primary sensor with optical image stabilization, an 8-megapixel 119-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 20-megapixel Sony IMX596 sensor on the front. The device is equipped with a 5500 mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, Quick Charge 3+, and Power Delivery 3.0 technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth version 5.3, tri-band GPS/ A-GPS, 4G VoLTE, 5G, NFC, IR Blaster, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Lastly, the phone measures 163.1 x 76.15 x 8.48 mm and weighs 201 grams.

Redmi K50 is priced at CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 28,700) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,599 (around Rs. 31,100) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 2,799 (around Rs. 33,500) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

The Redmi K50 Pro is priced at CNY 2,999 (around Rs. 35,900) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, 3,299 (around Rs. 39,500) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, CNY 3,599 (around Rs. 43,100) for the 12GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 3,999 (around Rs. 47,900) for the 12GB + 512GB variant.

Both the Redmi K50 and the Redmi K50 Pro comes in Dim Light, Fantasy, Ink Feather, and Silver Traces color options. The phones are currently available for pre-order in China and will go on sale starting March 22, 2022.

On the other hand, the Redmi K40S is priced at CNY 1,799 (around Rs. 21,500) for the 6GB + 128GB variant, CNY 1,999 (around Rs. 23,900) for the 8GB + 128GB variant, CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 26,300) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, and CNY 2,399 (around Rs. 28,700) for the 12GB + 256GB variant.

The phone comes in Aurora, Black, Green, and Silver color options and is available to purchase in China via the Xiaomi website.
