Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 13C and Redmi 13C 5G smartphones in India. Both smartphones feature a 6.74-inch HD+ display, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader for biometric authentication. The Redmi 13C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, while the Redmi 13C 5G comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. The smartphones run Android 13 operating system out of the box with MIUI 14 customization on top.

Redmi 13C specifications
The Redmi 13C features a 6.74-inch HD+ IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hz refresh rate, up to 600 nits of brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 (12nm) chipset paired with Mali-G52 MC2, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, the Redmi 13C sports a 50-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and an auxiliary lens. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. The phone packs a non-removable 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, dual 4G VoLTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, ambient light, magnetometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Pricing and availability
The Redmi 13C is priced at Rs. 7,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 8,999. The top variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model is priced at Rs. 10,499. The phone comes in Starshine Green and Stardust Black color options.
On the other hand, the Redmi 13C 5G is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, Rs. 11,499 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB variant, and Rs. 13,499 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model. The phone comes in Starlight Black, Startrail Silver, and Startrail Green color options.
Redmi 13C will go on sale from December 12, and the 13C 5G will be available from December 16, 2023. Both phones will be available via the Amazon website, mi.com, and Xiaomi retail stores across India.
