Realme 9 5G launched in India with Dimensity 810 SoC, 5,000mAh battery

Realme has introduced it’s latest Realme 9 5G smartphone in India on Thursday expanding its Realme 9 series lineup. This handset was launched along with another phone, the Realme 9 5G SE. 

Specifications

The Realme 9 5G features a 6.5-inch full HD+ display with 2400×1080 pixels resolution, a 90Hz refresh rate, a punch-hole cutout, 180Hz sampling rate, 90.5 per cent screen to body ratio, and 600nits peak brightness. 

It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC under the hood coupled with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for graphics. It has up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 2.1 storage that is further expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. 

This handset also had RAM expansion ability which offers up to 5GB of additional RAM at expense of the internal unused storage. It has a triple-camera setup on the back that consists of a 48-megapixel primary sensor, a 20-megapixel depth-sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front side, you get a 16-megapixel shooter.

It packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W Dart fast charging and runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS and a USB Type-C port. 

Pricing and Availability

The Realme 9 5G is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model and Rs 17,499 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage variant. It comes in Meteor Black and Stargaze White colour options. 

It will be available for purchase from February 14 via Flipkart and Realme.com and authorised retail stores. Customers paying through ICICI and SBI credit cards and credit card EMI transactions will get a Rs 1,500 instant discount.
