Honor X8 launched with 90Hz display, Snapdragon 680 SoC

Chinese brand Honor unveiled its latest Honor X8 smartphone on Friday. It will be available in Ocean Blue, Midnight Black, and Titanium Silver colours for pre-orders from March 17 in UAE. The company has not revealed pricing details or availability in other regions.

The Honor X8 features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ display with 1,080 x 2,388 pixels resolution, a 19.9:9 aspect ratio, 93.6 per cent screen-to-body ratio, and a 90Hz refresh rate. A punch-hole cutout is present at the top centre to house the front-facing camera.
Under the hood, it is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor paired with Adreno 610 GPU. It comes with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage and 2GB of additional virtual RAM support.
The phone boots on Magic UI 4.2 based on Android 11. There is the quad rear camera setup that consists of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. On the front, you get a 16-megapixel shooter.
This handset packs a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W Honor SuperCharge fast charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and AI face unlocking. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
