Prepaid ARPU at Rs 90 and Postpaid ARPU at Rs 234 in QE Sep-20: TRAI Data

The market share of the prepaid segment decreased from 95.48 percent at the end of June 20 to 95.39 percent at the end of September 20. The ARPU per month (All India blended) rose from Rs 90.12 in QE June-20 to Rs 96.87 in QE Sep-20 with a quarterly growth rate of 7.49 percent Y-o-Y basis. ARPU per month increased by 30.24 percent in QE Sep-20.

The APRU per month for the prepaid segment was at Rs 90 and ARPU per month for the postpaid segment was at Rs 234 in QE Sep-20. The ARPU per month for the postpaid segment in circle A was Rs 270, circle B was 248, circle C was Rs 206 and for metros was Rs 199. The all India ARPU for the postpaid segment was Rs 234 with BSNL/MTNL ARPU at Rs 208 whereas all private SPs ARPU stood at Rs 235.

The ARPU per month for the prepaid segment in circle A was Rs 101, circle B was Rs 89, circle C was Rs 91, and for metros was Rs 53. The all India ARPU for the prepaid segment was Rs 90 with BSNL/MTNL ARPU at Rs 36 whereas all private SPs ARPU stood at Rs 97.

The blended ARPU in circle A was Rs 109, circle B was Rs 92, circle C was 95, and for metros was Rs 75. The all India blended ARPU was Rs 97 with BSNL/MTNL ARPU at Rs 41 and all private SPs ARPU at Rs 104.
