Nokia 5.4 with Snapdragon 662 SoC, quad-rear cameras, hole-punch display launched

Finnish smartphone company, Nokia, has announced its latest mid-range smartphone, the Nokia 5.4. The smartphone runs on Android 10 out of the box and will receive two major Android upgrades and three years of security updates. Nokia 5.4 comes with a quad rear camera setup that supports OZO spatial audio and wind noise cancellation for video recordings.

Nokia 5.4 specifications

Nokia 5.4 features a 6.39-inch HD+ (720 x 1560 pixels) 19.5:9 aspect ratio IPS display. The phone is powered by an octa-core (4 x 2.0 GHz Kryo 260 Gold & 4 x 1.8 GHz Kryo 260 Silver) Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 (11 nm) chipset paired with Adreno 610 GPU, 6/4GB RAM, and 64/128GB of internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Nokia 5.4 sports a quad rear camera setup of a 48 MP primary sensor, 5 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2 MP macro camera, and a 2 MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a single 16 MP camera housed in the hole-punch display. The phone comes with a non-removable 4000mAh battery that supports 10W charging.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS, dual 4G LTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging and USB-on-the-go. Sensors include proximity, an accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 160.97 × 75.99 × 8.7 mm and weighs 180 grams.

Pricing and availability

Nokia 5.4 is priced at EUR 189 (around Rs. 16,900) for the base 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. The company is yet to reveal the pricing details of 4GB RAM + 128GB storage and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variants of the smartphone. The phone comes in Dusk and Polar Night color options.

Nokia should work on Display why every company running for big screen. I just wish to see a android phone with iPhone 12 size and superb specs. Yes I know Google Pixels is there but something with descent price.

And, why on year end they are still stuck to 4G where is 5G?
