State-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) earlier this week finally ramped up its FTTH offerings by launching new high-speed FTTH combo plans with unlimited data and voice benefits. MTNL Mumbai has introduced Fiber Prime, Fiber Gold and Fiber Platinum FTTH combo plan effective 1st June 2021 in Mumbai circle. The high-speed FTTH combo plans are available on a quarterly, half-yearly, and annual basis for interested customers.
MTNL Mumbai’s Fiber Prime combo plan offers unlimited data with 30 Mbps download and upload speed. The rental combo plan offers unlimited voice calling to all networks including Local and STD calls. The rental for quarterly subscription is Rs 2397, half yearly subscription is Rs 4395, and Rs 8987 for annual subscription. The half yearly subscription offers 15 days free service and annual subscription offers 30 days free service.
MTNL Mumbai’s Fiber Gold combo plan offers unlimited data with 50 Mbps download and upload speed. The rental combo plan offers unlimited local and STD voice calling to all networks. The rental for quarterly subscription is Rs 2997, half-yearly subscription at Rs 5495, and annual subscription is Rs 8245. Those opting for a half-yearly subscription get 15 days free discount included and those going for an annual subscription get 30 days free discount included.
MTNL Mumbai’s Fiber Platinum combo plan offers unlimited data with 100 Mbps download and upload speed. The rental combo plan offers unlimited voice calling to all networks including local and STD voice calls. The rental for quarterly subscription is Rs 4497, half-yearly subscription is Rs 8245, and annual subscription is Rs 16489. The half-yearly subscription includes 15 days free discount and the annual subscription includes 30 days free discount included.
The newly launched plans are available only in combo format. The customer can opt for any mode of payment optional with quarterly payment option being the default one. The download and upload speed will be symmetric with FUP limit of 3300GB followed by 2Mbps post FUP speed. MTNL Mumbai will charge GST on top of the rental with unutilized free benefits forfeited at the end of the month.

MTNL Mumbai will charge Rs 1500 for WiFi ONT as CPE Upfront Charges and Rs 700 as installation charges.
“Unlimited free voice benefits cannot be used for outgoing calls to Premium Numbers, IN Numbers, and other chargeable short codes (level 1, etc.). These calls will be charged as per prevailing tariffs.
Billing will be done in advance with a quarterly/half-yearly/annual payment option. The advance bill payment amount once paid will neither be refunded for cash nor be transferred to any other account,” read a note on MTNL’s website.
