Motorola on Monday has launched its new G-series handset – Moto G71 5G in India. This phone was originally unveiled in the global markets in November last year. It is the first smartphone in the country featuring the Snapdragon 695 5G processor. Last month, the company had launched Moto G51 5G as India’s first phone with Snapdragon 480.
The Moto G71 5G comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display having Full HD+ 1,080 x 2,400 pixels resolution, up to 700 nits of brightness, DCI-P3 colour gamut, 20:9 aspect ratio and a 60Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a business-grade security feature called ThinkShield for Mobile.
The handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 695 chipset built on a 6nm fabrication process and paired with an Adreno 619L GPU. It packs 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. Motorola is also allowing an additional 2GB RAM boost option that uses internal storage as RAM for better multitasking.
Coming to optics, it has a triple camera system on the back that includes a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, you get a 16MP camera sensor. It runs on Android 11 OS with near-stock user experience and Motorola is promising an Android 12 update as well as two years of security patches.
The device is packed with a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 33W TurboCharge technology. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, IP52 rating water-repellent rating, Dolby Atmos, dual microphones, and bottom-firing speakers. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing and Availability
The Moto G71 5G is priced at Rs. 18,999 for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. It will be available in two colour options- Arctic Blue and Neptune Green colours and the sale will begin from January 19 through Flipkart.
