Motorola has launched the Moto G54 5G smartphone in India. The phone features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset, a 6000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Moto G54 5G runs on the Android 13 operating system with My UI 5.0 customization on top. Further, the company promises to deliver Android 14 upgrade and three years of security updates.

The Moto G54 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (2400 × 1080 pixels) IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and up to 560 nits of peak brightness. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7020 (6nm) chipset paired with IMG BXM-8-256 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 1TB for expandable storage but uses a shared SIM slot.
In terms of optics, the Moto G54 5G sports a dual-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel with f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens. For taking selfies and making video calls, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture. The phone packs a non-removable 6000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging technology.
Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, 5G SA/ NSA, dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors include an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity, ambient light, magnetometer, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. Lastly, the phone measures 161.56mm x 73.82mm x 8.89mm and weighs 192 grams.
Pricing and availability
The Moto G54 5G is priced at Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, while the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model cost Rs. 18,999. The phone comes in Midnight Blue, Mint Green, and Pearl Blue color options and will be available through Flipkart starting September 13, 2023, at noon. Launch offers include a Rs. 1,500 discount on purchasing the phone using ICICI bank credit cards.
