Itel P55 5G and Itel S23+ launched in India

Itel has launched the Itel P55 5G and Itel S32+ smartphones in India. The Itel P55 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ display, MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC, 5000mAh battery, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The Itel S32+ features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ display, UNISOC T616 SoC, a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Both smartphones run on the Android 13 operating system out of the box. The company is also offering a 2-year warranty and free screen replacement within 100 days of purchase.

Itel P55 5G specifications

The Itel P55 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 (6nm) chipset paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 256GB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

Itel P55 5G sports a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.6 aperture and a secondary AI camera. For selfies and video calls, it has an 8-megapixel sensor on the front. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, 5G SA/NSA (n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n38, n40, n41, n77, n78), dual 4G VoLTE, GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. It also comes with a side-mounted fingerprint reader and face unlock feature for biometric authentication.

The Itel S23+ features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ (2400 x 1080 pixels) 3D curved AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 99 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and500 nits of peak brightness. The display comes with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, the phone has an octa-core UNISOC T616 (12nm) chipset paired with Mali-G57 GPU, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 256GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. It also supports a microSD card of up to 256GB via a dedicated slot for expandable storage.

In terms of optics, the Itel S23+ sports a dual-rear camera setup of a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.6 aperture and a secondary AI camera. For taking selfies and making video calls, the phone has a 32-megapixel sensor on the front. Further, the phone is equipped with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging technology.

Pricing and availability

The Itel P55 5G 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 9,699, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model costs Rs. 9,999. It comes in Galaxy Blue and Mint Green color options and will be available via the Amazon India website starting October 4, 2023.

On the other hand, the Itel S23+ is priced at Rs. 13,999 for the sole 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The phone comes in Elemental Blue and Lake Cyan color options and will be available via the Amazon India website starting October 6, 2023.
