Disney+ Hotstar after enabling 4K HDR last week is now testing Dolby Vision with Disney+ original short Pixar’s Kitbull on Android TV. The streamer is currently testing 4K, HDR, and Dolby Vision on various Disney+ original titles.
Disney+ Hotstar support team on Twitter confirmed that 4K HDR went live for Togo and will be rolling out soon for AndroidTV, AppleTV, and FireTV latest apps. There is no word on the rollout for other Smart TVs as of now.
The titles currently in testing for 4K HDR, Dolby Vision include Emmy nominated Disney+ Original Star Wars show The Mandalorian and Disney+ Original movies Togo, Neolle, Stargirl and Kitbull.
This testing ends the user’s popular demand for 4K HDR features on the service sooner rather than later. In other news, Disney+ Hotstar is slated for its Indonesian launch on September 5 marking it the second market after India to have the service.
