DoT again extends time for comments on draft Indian Telecommunication Bill, 2022

The deadline has been extended for the second time keeping in mind the requests for further extension.

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has again extended the time for comments on the draft Indian Telecommunication Bill 2022. The deadline for submission of comments was 30th October 2022. It has now been extended further till 10th November 2022.

The draft bill, along with an explanatory note, was initially floated by the Ministry of Communications on 21st September 2022. The original date for submission of comments from the general public, various stakeholders, and industry associations was 20th October 2022. The deadline was, however, extended for another ten days till 30th October 2022.

The extension of time for submission of comments is in response to the recent requests by the various stakeholders for further extension of the deadline. The comments from the general public, various stakeholders, and industry associations have to be emailed to the Telecom Department.

I hope deadline for comments is open for citizen
and get more time than just 30days-it should be 5th November.
