In the largest content expansion since launch, Discovery+ is poised to add 100+ shows across 55 genres from Discovery Kids, library content, and A+E Networks. With the new proposition Family, Facts & Fun in place, the new content offerings were spread across sub-genres like reality, sports, kids, learning, food, travel, and history which will be available in seven vernacular language options.
With the global content agreement in place with Disney and Hearst-owned A+E Networks, Discovery+ is set to become the home for the global and Indian content from A+E Networks (including History TV18). The titles that currently available on the platform include OMG! Yeh Mera India, Kumbh, Pawn Stars, and Storage Wars among others. The kids’ content on the platform was significantly boosted with the addition of the Mr. Bean Animated Series, Horrid Henry, Little Singham, Mister Maker, My Little Pony, Hanuman, and Kid Krrish among others.

Coinciding the content offering expansion, the streamer is also hiking its annual subscription pricing to INR 399 applicable from June 8, 2021. In comparison, Discovery+ in the USA costs USD 6.99 for the ad-free tier and USD 4.99 for the ad-supported tier. If you are planning on taking a Discovery+ subscription now, purchase it before June 8th to avoid price hikes.
