I think those who took BSNL 425 days plan for Rs 1,699 are the only beneficial ones. I know @Bapun Raz bro took. Awesome decision. By the way, is that 4G data (3GB/day)?
I too recharged few days back 1699 bsnl got 425days validity daily 3gb 4 hrs outgoings free

₹35 become ₹49 , increasing ₹14 (40%increase )
₹129 is now ₹148, increasing ₹19(15% increase)
₹199 is now ₹248, increasing ₹ 49(25%increse)
My salary increase 0%
😢😢
DTH and Cable cost also are ridiculous. Thanks to TRAI. No benefit for common people. Only hopes are cashbacks.

Vodafone has 2 extra new plans. (off net calls fup expected to be same)

Now Airtel will be like

"Other Networks: ₹599,
Airtel: ₹598.
Port to Airtel and save ₹1."
You are right. They do cheap show in their ads.

The major drawback is BSNL does have 4G in very few locations in India(less than 10% I think). Otherwise the deal is not bad and no IUC too.
