I have a different prospective on this. Now people will go for wired broadband services. Plans like 2 Mbps unlimited for 299 INR and 4 Mbps unlimited for 499 INR is better and whole family can use it. This way wired broadband services will also see growth in India.

Then what pay for increased mobile plans to waste data? Voice calls are still a necessity.

Now broadband users will increase. Data when outside, WiFi when at home. Dual sims will slowly disappear.

yeah, that will be first impact of this. Dual SIM will be no more and people will start turning WIFI at home. I never turned ON wifi in these years at home unless daily limit is over.
