Jio can't give Jio TV for free to watch on TV as it will come under IPTV. Mobile they can provide as there are already other providers. But it's only limited to be used on phones and cannot be casted on TV

That is the old Jio TV app u can even instal in fire TV stick. U can also but it will use up data from Ur broadband.

I think pay tv broadcasters have objections due to subscription revenue loss from DTH & Cable services for this app.

As u can see jiotv app on Android TV stopped working. Jio must have understood that it's not as per new regulations so have stopped it.
