As u can see jiotv app on Android TV stopped working. Jio must have understood that it's not as per new regulations so have stopped it.

Yes, eventhough there is no law which can prevent them from using this loophole (Live TV app on an android TV - I guess thats how yupp tv is operating), they just want to be on good terms with broadcasters and TRAI. Its a fair decision I guess.

TRAI rules couldnot apply on TV Apps, only for licensed networks (DTH & CABLE)

Jio TV will be available in JIO STB as per some sources, but no clarity on channels list.

Right. Thinking logically if they did provide their own app, why would they tie up with LCO ???

Last AGM they said one could watch 600 channels from the app itself if I remember properly. This AGM they didn't say and said they have tied up with LCO to strengthen them from the tough competition they face from DTH sector.

as per one site (banned sharing here) cable tv and ott tv app will work simultaneously. They will update after broadcaster arrangements.
