A road constructed over the past five years under the Dharamsala Smart City project, at a cost of Rs 30 crore, has been dug up — either mistakenly or due to alleged negligence on the part of the local administration.

Despite the road already having concrete ducts for telecom and electricity wires, a private telecom company has dug trenches along it to lay additional ducts. The PWD granted permission for the digging, though the ducts had been pre-installed.

 
Despite having mamoth 65Mhz (B1+3+8+40) spectrum utilised for 4G services, this network is not able to give consistent 40-50Mbps speeds. In peak hours it crawls and some times getting stuck to 2-5Mbps

No backhaul I guess. This is happening due to band 3/1/8 used for totally upload. Band 40 is choked totally. Also, the due to 5G, 4G is really choked. Airtel has to move to 5G SA.

I guess drop in customers raised the ARPU.
 
Even I have disconnected my Jio AirFiber this month. Though the data speed is good enough and OTT options are also good (except SUN NXT problem), I closed the connection for the fake promises and billing issues.

I got the connection on 26th Nov2023 with promise of extra one month FREE (apart from one year). But the billing showed that I may need to pay some amount due after 30th October. That means 2 months of usage is LOST for me. CC guys are giving explanations that "there was no such extra one month offer ever" and one year equals 360 days :wall: in Jio Maths. But still they can't explain about missing one month allowance. I think they have abruptly reduced the 12 Human months to 12 Lunar months or 336 days. So I thought enough is enough and killed the connection.

Asked CC for disconnection. Next day some person came and took away the WiFi6 Router, set-top box and its remote (but NOT the external Antenna, even though I insist him to do so). Next day that AirFiber account was removed in MyJio and got e-mail reg connection closed and no dues to pay. At last Jio showed some professionalism during disconnection.

The guy who came to take the device informed me that, there are about 3 disconnections due that day for him and most are due to fake promises.
Jio will suffer one day due to this. Just want to see BSNL 4G/5G gets rolled out within a year.
