State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be converting its existing unlimited combo STV 399 prepaid plan into an unlimited plan effective 15th August 2020. The conversion of the STV into a plan voucher effective 15th August 2020 has been notified by BSNL Kerala through its POS card for August 2020.
Rs 399 prepaid plan from BSNL’s stable is currently available as an unlimited special tariff voucher offering calling, data, and SMS benefits. Cometh 15th August, BSNL will be converting a Special Tariff Voucher into an unlimited plan.
The benefits will continue to be the same with the plan providing unlimited voice calling in home LSA and national roaming, unlimited data with speed reduced to 80 kbps after 1GB/day, 100 SMS/day, Lokdhun content and free BSNL Tunes with unlimited song change.
The conversion of the plan will help customers save money on buying validity as noted by Elvin Paul who said, “The benefits are untouched. STVs need a base plan to work while a Plan works alone. By converting an STV to Plan customer saves some money on buying SIM validity. I don’t know why BSNL retains unlimited STVs (which need an extra voucher to work) when Plans are offered with exactly the same benefits.”
