BSNL Tamil Nadu to withdraw Blackberry STVs

State-run BSNL Tamil Nadu has announced the withdrawal of Blackberry special tariff vouchers (STVs) for its prepaid subscribers in the Tamil Nadu licensed service area, including the Chennai telecom district (CHTD).

BSNL Tamil Nadu is withdrawing four Blackberry STVs with effect from December 30, 2019. These are the Blackberry STVs that BSNL is going to withdraw.

  • Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) Lite plan offers unlimited access to emails through Blackberry APN. The plan is valid for 7 days and costs Rs. 95.
  • Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) Plan III offers unlimited access to emails, instant messaging, and internet browsing through Blackberry APN. The plan is valid for 7 days and costs Rs. 281.
  • Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) Plan III offers unlimited access to emails, instant messaging, and internet browsing through Blackberry APN. The plan is valid for 7 days and costs Rs. 281.
  • Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) Lite plan offers unlimited access to emails through Blackberry APN. The plan is valid for 90 days and costs Rs. 961.

BSNL Tamil Nadu also stated there would be no blackout days in the year 2020. BSNL will not charge for calls or SMS under any bundle recharge for New Year or other festivals throughout the year.

Recently, BSNL has launched Christmas and New Year offers for its prepaid subscribers. Under the offer, BSNL has extended the validity of the annual plan and also giving extra and full talk time on select recharges.
