State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revamped the wireline and wireless plans in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on a promotional basis days after announcing bonanza offer for its customers in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on the eve of the inauguration of the prestigious Chennai – Andaman and Nicobar Islands (CANI) connecting submarine optical fiber cable project.
FTTH plans revamped in A&N circle
According to the listings on the BSNL portal, the FTTH plans have been revamped to offer more data, and better speed while the monthly rental remains the same.
Rs 799 FTTH plan is now offering 60GB data, up from 4GB data, Rs 999 FTTH plan is now offering 150GB data, up from 8GB data, and Rs 1899 FTTH plan is now offering 10 GB/day data, up from 25GB data. The speed on Rs 799 and Rs 999 FTTH plan remains the same while the FUP speed on Rs 1899 FTTH plan has been bumped up from 512 Kbps to 1 Mbps.
Rs 2799 FTTH plan has been revamped to offer 15 GB/day with 30 Mbps speed followed by 2 Mbps FUP speed whereas earlier it offered 45 GB data with 10 Mbps speed followed by 512 Kbps FUP speed.
Rs 3999 FTTH plan has been revamped to offer 25 GB/day with 50 Mbps speed followed by 2 Mbps FUP speed whereas earlier it offered 80 GB data with 10 Mbps speed followed by 512 Kbps FUP speed.
Rs 5999 FTTH plan has been revamped to offer 40 GB/day with 80 Mbps speed followed by 4 Mbps FUP speed whereas earlier it offered 140 GB data with 10 Mbps speed followed by 512 Kbps FUP speed.
Rs 7999 FTTH plan has been revamped to offer 50 GB/day with 100 Mbps speed followed by 4 Mbps FUP speed whereas earlier it offered 225 GB data with 10 Mbps speed followed by 512 Kbps FUP speed.

BSNL has revamped all broadband plans to offer better speed, and data benefits while keeping the monthly rental stable. The data limit on Rs 350 plan has been bumped from 2 GB to 30GB while that of Rs 650 plan has been increased from 4GB to 60GB. The data limit of Rs 1000 plan has been increased from 10GB to 200GB while that of Rs 1750 plan has been increased from 25GB to 10GB/day.
The data limit of Rs 2750 plan has been increased from 50GB to 15GB/day while that of Rs 3750 plan has increased from 80GB to 25GB/day. The data limit of Rs 5000 plan has been increased from 125GB to 35GB/day while that of Rs 7500 plan has been revamped from 225GB to 50GB/day.
The speed on Rs 350 and Rs 650 broadband plans has been bumped up from 2 Mbps to 4 Mbps and 8 Mbps respectively. The speed on all other plans has been bumped up to 10 Mbps.
Broadband plans now offer unlimited download with BSNL getting rid of the download and upload limit. The FUP speed on Rs 1750 speed has been bumped to 1 Mbps from 512 Kbps while that of Rs 1000, Rs 650 and Rs 350 remains unchanged. The FUP speed of rest plans has been bumped to 2 Mbps.
