BSNL offers advance rental option for postpaid subscribers

State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Chennai Telephones is offering an advance rental option for the postpaid subscribers. The advance rental option is available to the BSNL postpaid subscribers in Chennai and Tamil Nadu circle with effect from March 01, 2020 .

BSNL postpaid subscribers will have to pay eleven months fixed rental charges along with the GST charges in advance to opt for the annual advance rental option. To opt for the biennial (2 years) advance rental option, BSNL postpaid users will have to pay 21 months fixed rental charges along with the GST charges.

After the expiry of the advance rental plan, the postpaid customers will be automatically migrated to the monthly rental option.

The telecom operator has recently revised the Rs. 551 plan for its prepaid subscribers. It now offers 5GB per day data, after that unlimited data at a throttled speed of 80 Kbps for the rest of the day till midnight. It also includes a free personal ring back tone (PRBT). However, it does not include voice, SMS, or any other freebies. The plan comes with a validity of 90 days. The Rs. 551 plan is currently available in select BSNL service areas.
