State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Karnataka has announced the extension of the plan validity of the prepaid mobile subscribers. If a user recharges with an applicable STV, the plan validity will be extended as that of STV validity for all STVs with effect from February 14, 2020.
Active BSNL subscribers will have to recharge with a plan voucher after every plan or recharge validity period. If a customer recharges with an applicable STV or Combo voucher, the validity of the tariff plan will be extended corresponding to the validity of that STV or Combo voucher.
However, the validity extension feature is not available for self-care subscriptions. In the case of non-recharge with any plan voucher of applicable recharge, the plan benefits will be provided in a curtailed manner during the grace period with GP-I of 7 days and GP-II of 165 days. If a user does not recharge post the grace period, the services will be suspended.
Inactive BSNL customers who are on the grace period with GP-I and GP-II can recharge with special tariff vouchers (STV) or combo vouchers of Rs. 75 and above to make the subscriber in the active status under the base plan with the validity of the recharged STVs or Combo vouchers for all Live plans as on recharge day.
BSNL has recently rationalized FRC-108 Plan validity from 28 days to 60 days. FRC 108 with 60-day validity is available to the new customers of BSNL Karnataka and Tamil Nadu circle.
