State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) on Sunday introduced its Bharat Air Fiber services in Maharashtra with its launch in Akola and Washim districts. The service was inaugurated by Shri. Sanjay Dhotre, Union Minister of State for HRD, Electronics, Communication, and IT, Govt Of India which will allow residents of the respective districts to get wireless internet connections on demand.
The service has been introduced as part of the Digital India initiative which aims to provide wireless connectivity in the range of 20 kilometers from the BSNL locations. The service will be provided through local business partners in Akola and Washim.
BSNL is allowing the local residents of Akola and Washim district to join hands with BSNL as Telecom Infrastructure Partners which can help them earn them up to one lakh per month, according to a PIB release.
BSNL currently provides up to 100 Mbps connectivity with Bharat Air Fiber service which will open new ways of wireless internet connectivity as well as voice services at a reasonable cost.
Is It A One Of Its Kind Service Or Other Companies Like Jio, Airtel,etc.. also has this type of service.
It is indeed one of a kind service currently making use of unlicensed spectrum in the rural areas to provide wireless connectivity.
