State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has conveyed that GP-II and beyond GP-II customers now need to do a minimum recharge of Rs 107 in order to return to the active state.

The change is effective 1st July 2022 in Chennai Telephones (including Tamil Nadu circle) as per BSNL Chennai.

The grace period starts after the deactivation of an account post expiry of the prepaid period. One can reactivate their prepaid card during the grace period by recharging it. During the same, one is not allowed to make or receive any call.

The grace period meant for recharging purposes starts from the date of expiry of the validity period. Grace period II (GP II) starts after the 8th day of the expiry of the validity period.

In other news, BSNL is offering full usage value equal to MRP on top-up 110 under GSM prepaid mobile services in Chennai Telephones (including Tamil Nadu circle) during July 2022. The offer is applicable through C-Top-up, web portal, and M-wallet and is not available through physical paper vouchers.
