Amazon has launched the Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) and the Alexa Voice Remote Pro in India. The Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) features an octa-core processor, Dolby Atmos audio technology, Dolby Vision, HDR, HDMI input, and tri-band Wi-Fi. The device will receive at least four years of software security updates. The Alexa Voice Remote Pro comes with two customizable buttons, illuminated backlit buttons, and a built-in speaker.

Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) specifications

The Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) is powered by an octa-core (4x 2.2GHz 4x 2.0GHz) chipset paired with an 800Mhz GPU, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. According to the company, the Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) is 20 percent more powerful than the previous generation device. It supports Dolby Atmos, 7.1 surround sound, 2-channel stereo, and HDMI audio pass-through up to 5.1 surround sound. For videos, it supports 2160p (4K), 1080p (full-HD) and 720p (HD) resolutions with up to 60 frames per second.

Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) also supports Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA), which allows users to connect their Bluetooth hearing aids directly with the device. Connectivity options include tri-band 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax, Bluetooth version 5.2, one HDMI input, one HDMI output, an IR extender port, a USB Type-A port, and an ethernet port. Using the HDMI input port, users can connect their set-top box and control using the Fire TV Cube remote.

The device measures 86 mm x 86 mm x 77 mm and weighs 509.6 grams.

Alexa Voice Remote Pro specifications

The Alexa Voice Remote Pro includes dedicated buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, Apps, and Amazon music. It also has a built-in speaker that is used to find the remote using the remote finder feature on Alexa. Further, there are two customizable buttons on the remote that can be mapped to any apps or Alexa skills for faster commands.

Alexa Voice Remote Pro is compatible with Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen), Fire TV Cube (2nd Gen), Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen), Fire TV Stick (2nd Gen), Fire TV Stick Lite and select Smart TVs with Fire TV Built-In. The buttons on the remote are backlit and illuminated for better viewing in the dark. Lastly, it measures 38 x 148 x 18 mm and weighs 54 grams (without batteries).

Pricing and availability

The Amazon Fire TV Cube (3rd Gen) is priced at Rs. 13,999 and will be available to purchase soon via the Amazon India website. On the other hand, the Alexa Voice Remote Pro is priced at Rs.2,499 and is currently available for pre-order via Amazon in the country. The Voice Remote Pro will release on November 16, 2022.

What is the difference between Fire tv cube 2021 and 2022 variants? There is a huge difference in the price between these two. The 2021 model is available at 6999/- against the listed price of 12999/- whereas 2022 model is at 13999/-
