State-owned telecom service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has launched an SMS based service to help those customers who are unable to recharge online at home. BSNL retailers will help out the customers.

BSNL Punjab and BSNL Rajasthan tweeted yesterday to inform about the initiative. Pertinent to note that this offer is different from the Ghar Baithe Recharge initiative.

Those customers unable to recharge their accounts need to send a text message RET to 9417005869 (Toll-Free). The SMS sent will help them know their nearby retailers. BSNL Punjab customers can recharge their numbers with the help of retailers.

BSNL Rajasthan is also offering the SMS based service. BSNL Rajasthan users need to send a text message RET to 876499997 (Toll-Free) to know their nearby retailers.

In another news, BSNL Kerala on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Department of Posts to sell recharge top up vouchers through post offices in Kerala.
