Xiaomi at a virtual launch event on Wednesday, April 20 launched the Redmi 10A smartphone in India as ‘Desh Ka Smartphone’ succeeding the Redmi 9A which debuted in the country in 2020.
Redmi 10A Specifications
The Redmi 10A boasts a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display with 720×1,600 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio and a water drop-style notch. The screen has a 1500:1 contrast ratio and a peak brightness of up to 400 nits.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, the same as the Redmi 9A. This is paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 512GB.
There is a single 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. On the front, a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.2 lens is present. The device runs on MIUI 12.5 custom skin based on Android 11.
It packs a 5,000mAh battery with a general 10W charger. The fingerprint sensor is at the back. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS/ A-GPS, a Micro-USB port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Pricing and Availability
The Redmi 10A is priced at Rs. 8,499 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage variant while the 4GB + 64GB model will cost Rs. 9,499. It will be available in Charcoal Black, Sea Blue and Slate Grey colour options. The sale for this phone will begin on April 26 at noon via Amazon, Mi.com, Mi Home stores and Xiaomi’s offline retail partners.
