Xiaomi on Friday unveiled its new Android 9.0 powered Mi Box 4K at a price of Rs 3499 which will let you stream your favourite movies and series in Ultra-HD quality. The Ultra HD streaming device was initially set to go on sale from 12 PM today, but now it will be going on sale from 13th May at 12 PM.

Mi Box 4K can be setup in 3 simple steps. One needs to attach the Mi Box to the TV with the HDMI Cable, followed by connection of the box to the Internet. Mi Box users can then easily stream their favourite content.

Mi Box 4K Specifications

The device is black in colour and weighs 148g. It supports 4K, 1080i/p, 720p, 576 i/p, 480 i/p up to 60 Hz resolutions. The device is powered by Cortex A53 quad-core 64-bit 2Ghz processor and comes packed with 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It is powered by Android 9.0 and has Mali 450 750Mhz as the GPU.

The device is wi-fi enabled and supports Bluetooth version 4.2. It has an HDMI and USB 2.0 port. The box offers pre-installed access to Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Store, Google Play Music, Google Play Games. It comes with a Chromecast built-in to cast upto 4K quality if the TV supports 4K resolution for supported apps and content. The device also supports Dolby Audio + DTS 2.0 Digital Out.

It comes with a built-in Google Assistant to search various queries that can be done by pressing the vice button on Mi remote. It also a data saver option to conserve data usage while streaming up to 3 times with the same daily limit.

Mi Box 4K Pricing and Availability

The Mi Box 4K priced at Rs 3,499 will go on sale from 13th May 12 PM on Flipkart, mi.com, Mi Home stores, and Mi Studio stores. Xiaomi on its website notes that the delivery is only restricted to Green and Orange zones with only prepaid orders being accepted.
