WhatsApp testing ability to share up to 100 images; could soon allow sharing images in high quality
WhatsApp beta for iOS version 23.3.0.75 allows some beta testers to send up to 100 media files at once in a chat.

Meta-owned WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow iOS users to send up to 100 media files at once in a chat. The company is also testing the ability to send images in high quality on the WhatsApp desktop app.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out a new update with version 23.3.0.75 through the TestFlight beta Program for iOS users that allows some beta testers to send up to 100 images at once in a chat. The feature is expected to roll out to more users over the coming days. If a user can select over 30 media files via the media picker on WhatsApp, that means the feature is enabled for them.

WhatsApp is also testing the ability to send images in high quality over chats on the desktop version. Previously reported by WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp beta for the Android 2.23.2.11 update comes with the ability to share images in high quality. Now, the company is also bringing this feature to the WhatsApp desktop app. Currently, WhatsApp compresses images shared in chats to save storage space and internet bandwidth.
Users will also have the choice to send images in HD quality or compressed form. The ability to send photos in their original quality is under development, and it will be available to users in a future update of the app.
