Vodafone Caller Tunes VAS plans back on the shelves; Rs 78 plan no longer listed

VAS Plans were earlier delisted on April 4 after it was widely reported

VAS Plans were initially launched near March 19 with cheaper Rs 67 plan offering more validity than Rs 78 plan

Vodafone Idea had earlier this month delisted its newly launched Caller Tune Value Added Service (VAS) plans after it was widely reported. The Caller Tune VAS plans which were initially launched near March 19 had a cheaper VAS plan offer more validity than the costlier VAS plan. VIL noticed the mistake once the VAS plans were widely reported and took down the plans within 21 days of launch.

The plans are now back on the shelves. However, unlike earlier this is not listed on the prepaid listings but are instead listed in the ‘For You’ section on Vodafone’s website. One has to enter his/her Vodafone number in the ‘Online Prepaid Recharge’ section to see the plans. Vodafone is only showing these plans under the ‘For You’ section.

Interestingly, Vodafone has now not listed the Rs 78 Caller Tune VAS pack which was earlier there. Rs 67 Caller Tune VAS pack was earlier offering 90 days validity whereas the Rs 78 Caller Tune VAS pack was offering 89 days. Vodafone had taken down the plans to rectify the error and has now brought back the VAS plans with the Rs 78 plan discontinued. Vodafone now only offers Rs 47 and Rs 67 VAS plans.

Rs 47 Caller Tunes plan offers unlimited caller tunes with a validity of 28 days whereas the Rs 67 Caller Tunes plan offers unlimited caller tunes with a validity of 90 days.

PlanValidityIncludes
Rs 4728 DaysCaller Tone with Unlimited song change for 28 Days
Rs 6790 DaysCaller Tone with Unlimited song change for 90 Days

The VAS plans are also available on the Idea network. Idea website similarly hasn’t listed the plans on its prepaid listings. Idea customers need to enter their number in the ‘Online Recharge’ section for viewing the plans. The plans are listed under the ‘Recommended’ section.

While earlier the VAS plan was only available in the Mumbai circle, it is now also available in Delhi and Punjab circles. The existence of this plan across other circles can’t be confirmed since the plans aren’t publicly listed on the circle wise prepaid plans listing.
