Vodafone Idea leads in voice quality across TSPs in February 2021: TRAI MyCall

Vodafone Idea (Vi) continued to lead in terms of voice quality comparison across telecom service providers in the month of February 2021 according to TRAI’s MyCall Dashboard data. The regulator’s data is based on crowdsourced data collected through the TRAI MyCall app.

Idea scored 4.8 out of 5, Vodafone scored 4.2 out of 5, Reliance Jio scored 3.9 out of 5, BSNL scored 3.9 out of 5, and Bharti Airtel was last placed with 3.6 out of 5. In January 2021, Idea had scored 4.8 out of 5, Vodafone had scored 4.2 out of 5, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio had scored 3.9 out of 5, and BSNL was last palced with 3.8 out of 5.

TRAI MyCall app users rated Indoor call quality rating at 4.2 out of 5, Outdoor quality rating at 4.1 out of 5, and Travelling call quality rating at 4.4 out of 5. In January 2021, users rated Indoor, Outdoor, and Travelling call quality rating similarly.

The call quality experience was pegged Satisfactory by 83.96% or 32,038 users, Call Dropped by 5.62% or 2,145 users, and Poor Voice Quality by 10.42% or 3,975 users.

The customer feedback consisted of 35.4% or 13,499 feedback from Idea customers, 27.3% or 10,405 feedback from Reliance Jio customers, 17.9% or 6,822 feedback from Airtel customers, 14.5% or 5,541 from Vodafone customers, and 5% or 1,891 from BSNL customers.
