Vodafone Idea on Saturday launched the Double Data offer on three of its unlimited prepaid plans after discontinuing it from the Rs 249 prepaid plan earlier this week. The Double Data is now available on 5 prepaid plans and one First Recharge Plan (FRC).
According to the listings on the Vodafone Idea website, the Double Data offer is now available on Vodafone Idea’s Rs 299 prepaid plan, Rs 449 prepaid plan, and Rs 699 prepaid plan. All of these plans normally offer 2 GB of high-speed data per day. Under the Double Data offer, the trio will offer 4 GB of high speed data per day.
Rs 299 prepaid plan now offers 4 GB of high-speed data per day with service validity of 28 days. The plan also offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, and a complimentary subscription to Zee5 and Vodafone Play.
Rs 449 prepaid plan now offers 4 GB of high-speed data per day with service validity of 56 days. The plan also offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, and a complimentary subscription to Zee5 and Vodafone Play.
Rs 699 prepaid plan now offers 4 GB of high-speed data per day with service validity of 84 days. The plan also offers unlimited calls, 100 SMS per day, and a complimentary subscription to Zee5 and Vodafone Play.
The Double Data offer is now available on VIL’s Rs 299 prepaid plan, Rs 399 prepaid plan, Rs 449 prepaid plan, Rs 599 prepaid plan, Rs 699 prepaid plan, and Rs 297 First Recharge Plan.

The Double Data offer is applicable only in Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Mumbai, Kolkata, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir.
VIL had discontinued it earlier in 8 telecom circles on 16 April. This was followed by the discontinuation of the plan in another 5 telecom circles restricting the Double Data Offer to 9 telecom circles. It had also discontinued the Double Data offer from the Rs 249 prepaid plan. The Double Data offer was launched on March 1 initially with a promotional validity of 15 days which was later on extended.
Idea website is yet to reflect the changes as of 5 AM this morning. Vodafone is known to synchronize its prepaid plan portfolio with Idea on a delayed basis. One can expect Idea to show the changes in a day or two’s time.
