Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Vivo has launched the Vivo Y73s smartphone in China. The phone comes in the Black Mirror and Silver Moon color options. Vivo Y73s features a waterdrop display notch and comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 720 SoC.

Vivo Y73s specifications

Vivo Y73s features a 6.44-inch Full-HD+ (1080 x 2400 pixels) AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR10 support. The phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 720 (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) chipset paired with of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It runs Android 10 OS out of the box with Funtouch 10.5 customization on top.

Vivo Y73s comes with a triple rear camera setup of 48 MP f/1.8 primary sensor, 8 MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16 MP f/2.0 camera on the waterdrop notch display. The rear cameras support 4K and Full-HD video recording at 30fps, while the front camera supports only Full-HD video recording at 30fps.

Connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1 with A2DP/ LE/ aptX HD support, GPS/ A-GPS/ GLONASS/ GALILEO/ BDS, 5G, 4G LTE, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors included are proximity, magnetometer, accelerometer, ambient light, and an optical fingerprint reader located under the display.

Vivo Y73s comes with a non-removable 4100mAh that supports 18W fast charging technology. The phone measures 161 x 74 x 7.8 mm and weighs 171.3 grams.

Pricing and availability

Vivo Y73s is priced at CNY 1,998 (around Rs. 21,700) for the single 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The phone is available for pre-ordering in China and will go on sale starting October 16. The company is yet to provide details about the global availability of the Vivo Y73s smartphone.
