Vivo has launched its Vivo Y01 smartphone in India as its latest budget offering. This handset was initially unveiled in African markets in March of this year. In India, it will compete with the likes of the Redmi 10A and Samsung Galaxy M02.
Specifications
The Vivo Y01 comes with a 6.51-inch HD+ IPS LCD Halo Full View Display. It has a 720×1,600 pixels resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The device boots on Android 11 based Funtouch OS 11.1 out of the box.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P35 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a dedicated MicroSD card slot. It also has Multi-Turbo 3.0 to enhance gaming performance via memory optimization.
The phone features a single 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens and an LED flash. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5-megapixel camera sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens at the front.
The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery that supports 10W standard charging and a compatible charger is bundled in the box. The fingerprint sensor is side-mounted. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a Micro-USB port.
Pricing and Availability
The Vivo Y01 smartphone is priced at Rs. 8,999 for the single 2GB RAM + 32GB storage configuration. It will be available in Elegant Black and Sapphire Blue colour options. It can be purchased through the Vivo E-Store and offline retail stores. The company is yet to announce the sale date and other availability details.
